High standard, but very good food

Unfortunately currently closed. Corona. But from earlier times we know how great it is there. Always an experience

Unfortunately we couldn't go out to eat because of Corona. Up here you can go for a wonderful walk, through the vineyards with a wonderful view of Frankfurt and Groß-Umstadt.

We have been to this great, unique restaurant several times. It's wonderful every time. Great, partly exotic selection of dishes, delicious drinks, very friendly staff. Very clear recommendation

Super nice place, but nothing like the real south african experiance. Prices also outrageous. Nice service. And nice food. They do serve zebra and crockodile.

Very tasty food in a great atmosphere. What impresses me the most here, in addition to the spicy dishes and the absolutely successful selection of wines, is the attentiveness of the service. At all times unobtrusive but always there when you expect it. We would love to come back.

Nice food, nice ambience, great location, what more could you want

As part of our stay at the lodge, we enjoyed dinner in the farmer's house and are still completely thrilled. After the friendly shuttle service from the hotel to the restaurant (really a great thing!) We were greeted personally at the entrance and taken to a table on the terrace with a fantastic view of the vineyards. The ambience was in proper African style and very authentic, the service was always very warm, unobtrusive and very competent. The food was really a dream, the accompanying wines were always very appropriate and each course of our 6-course menu was a culinary highlight of a very high level. Those who like a little more unusual, upscale cuisine and African specialties will surely enjoy the evening as much as we did. It was for us (also together with the overnight stay in the lodge) really like a short trip to Africa :-). We thank the entire team for this wonderful stay and we will certainly not be our guests for the last time.

Great food, great ambience, great restaurant. Tried the 10 (small) course menu on our wedding day and were overwhelmed by the taste. The meat specialties at the next table also looked very good. The service was perfect and really friendly. The price category is a bit higher, but it's absolutely worth it. The evening was an all-round success, the next time we will book an overnight stay in the lodge.

Good african cuisine. Price at the top, but whoever likes it will be happy to pay. The zebra on offer clearly tasted like horse meat, zebra in Namibia was much further away from horse meat taste. Good wines from South Africa, restaurant prices are a good four times the bottle price in direct purchase, already heavy ...

Wow; simply terrific! Never eaten so great. Awesome. Great atmosphere, incomparable taste, really worth the money! Unobtrusive service. A short break in Africa by both the set-up and the menu. Simply 100% recommendable!

Excellent food, perfect service and views pleasantly reminiscent of Stellenbosch/Cape Town. A unique and exotic experience that shall never be forgotten.

We were guests at the hotel and did not miss to visit two nights this beautiful restaurant. On both evenings we were very courteous accompanied by the evening and spoiled with excellent food and wines. In my opinion one of the best restaurants in the wider area and we will definitely come back. Highly Recommended!

The beef fillet was so good, I did not even think of taking a picture. :-) The starter plate is a nice idea to try something exotic (although it does not necessarily suit my taste). The drinks were good too and the dessert was good too.

The food was very tasty. The 6-8 course menu from 60 Euro OK. But we found too much of a menu and we ordered single food. The single menu was 25-40 euros. But the size was like in the menu. Unfortunately. We paid for two, two beers, house coctail and a dessert 115 euros. Staff really nice.

We celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary and felt completely comfortable. The atmosphere is very special and very suitable for our occasion. The food was excellent and the wines very suitable.

While the plates are small, you are able to try a large selection of foods straight from South Africa, foods I would never have tried in my life. Very friendly staff, drinks were kept full the entire night. Food was delicious.

Delicious Food - Exotic Atmosphere

Delightful. The service is authentic & attentive, but micromanaged by the owners in view & earshot of the guests which taints an otherwise perfect experience. The food is of excellent quality, yet unsophisticated in its presentation. A decent wine menu and a fantastic ambience round out a fantastic and highly recommended gastronomic experience.
